Biography
Nicholas Ceragioli was born on 23 December 2006 in Camaiore (Lu).
From an early age he showed a propensity for music, he put the glasses in a row, filled them with water and began to play the first notes by singing them.
Thus he began taking piano lessons at the age of 9.
At the age of 11 he entered the Accademia Musicale della Versilia as a student where he studied piano with M° Salvatore Frega ranging from sonatas, suites and etudes by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Liszt.
He studied with passion and dedication, but his great desire in addition to studying the piano is singing: "singing I can vent and let out all my emotions" Thus he becomes part of the Puccini choir where he falls deeply in love with Puccini's works.
At the age of 10 he already knows the operas of Puccini, music, libretto, characters and arias. However while listening to them his attention falls above all on the female roles, in particular he is fascinated by the voices of the sopranos, saying: "they are so acute, so agile that they can reach high, up to the sky, up to the stars".
Facilitated by his young white voice, both at home and behind the scenes of the theatre, he enjoys singing the arias of Turandot, Musetta, Mimì but what he loves most is the character of Tosca: "she is a great woman, she is managed to kill Scarpia, a man who made all of Rome tremble, something that no one had ever managed to do " .
So already at the age of 12 his days are made up of music: listening to songs, arias, meticulous research of the various performers and then moving on to studying the piano and singing.
He is so fascinated and intrigued by knowing the secrets of the "voice" that he attends the masterclass of "Applied Phoniatry" held by Prof. Franco Fussi and enrolled in the course "The Physiology Of The Artistic Voice: From Acoustic Physics To Singing Styles" always held by Prof. Franco Fussi, his phoniatrician.
At the age of 14 and a little more, with the precocious change of voice, he began to fall in love with baroque singing, where his vocal texture, to his great joy, allows him to sing as a half sopranist.
He knows the countertenor Raffaele Pe with whom he began taking baroque singing lessons.
He studied piano with M° Betsabea Faccini.
In September 2022 he passed the entrance exams of the "Luigi Boccherini" Conservatory in Lucca and began studying piano under the guidance of M° Riccardo Peruzzi.
He is currently a student of M° Antonio Giovannini, he studies arias from the Baroque repertoire: Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, Mozart, chamber arias and also classic Neapolitan songs.
